Please read these terms of sale carefully.

You will be asked to accept these terms of sale before you place an order for products from our website.

In these terms of sale, “we” and “us” and “our” means Aberlour Filling Station (Our Wooden Toy Shop at Aberlour Filling Station or AFS). “You and “your” means our customer or potential customer for our products.



The advertising of products on our website constitutes an “invitation to treat”; and your order for products constitutes a contractual offer. No contract will come into force between you and us unless and until we accept your order in accordance with the procedure detailed below. In order to enter into a contract to purchase products from us, you will need to take the following steps:

~ You must add the products you wish to purchase to your order/shopping cart, and then proceed to the checkout and confirm your order and your consent to these terms of sale.

~ You will be transferred to the PayPal which will handle your payment; we will then either send you an order confirmation (at which point your order will become a binding contract) or we will confirm by email that we are unable to meet your order.”

As we may need to revise our terms and conditions over time we suggest you print a copy at the time of purchase so they can be referred to as we will not store old versions of our Ts and Cs. We only provide these terms of sale in English. Before you place your order, you will have the opportunity of identifying whether you have made any input errors. You may correct those input errors before placing your order.


The Products 

Viewing Orders/Images

Measurements quoted are approximate and the reproduction of colours is as good as photographic and publishing processes will allow. We try hard to provide accurate images and descriptions of our wares including sizes and every effort has been made to portray items accurately and in detail but slight variations may occur and there is a possibility of error on occasions and minor design changes from our suppliers.



Aberlour Filling Station makes every effort to publish and advertise the correct prices for its products. Occasionally mistakes occur and we reserve the right to correct pricing information without notice or to cancel orders where the incorrect price has been applied. We will always inform you if your order has been cancelled for this reason and ask if you wish to proceed at the correct price. Prices are correct at time of publishing.

It may be necessary to change prices either up or down, from time to time, including any alterations to the rate of VAT. Any price changes will be confirmed with you before processing your order.

All prices/discounts are only applicable to online purchases and goods requiring postage. In store purchases and telephone orders for collection will be charged at the price displayed in our Aberlour Filling Station High Street shop.

Prices featured are in £ sterling including VAT at the current rate and exclusive of delivery charge. Standard delivery charge will be applied at checkout.



All Items shown on our website include VAT at the current rate which at present is 20%. Your checkout bill will show the breakdown.


Out of Stock items

Our website shows items that we provide for both our High Street shop and online sales. If an item sells out in store we will notify you as to when it will be available if you have attempted to purchase it. We remove items from the website if they are no longer stocked by our suppliers or unavailable for a lengthy period of time. If items that you order should be out of stock, or delayed for any reason, we will try to contact you at the e-mail address or telephone number you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you, or receive no response to our e-mail, we will continue to process the remaining items on your order. All items are subject to availability and if you wish to purchase multiples of the same item please check availability before attempting to purchase.


Confirmation of Order and delivery address

We send an e-mail confirmation for every order. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours please contact us to confirm that your order has been received and is being processed.

We will process orders in order of receipt and allocate stock accordingly.

Please let us know immediately if you have made a mistake with your address so we are able to change it for you. Once your order has been dispatched, we cannot redirect it to a different address. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to provide the correct information when placing the order.



Payment is normally via PayPal. Payment will be debited from your account before dispatch of your order and where we find we are unable to fulfil your order a refund will be made as soon as practicable. If you are unable to use PayPal, please contact the shop by telephone before placing an order and we will try to help/find and alternative method.

PayPal accepts the following cards: Visa / Delta / Electron MasterCard / Eurocard Maestro American Express. Debit cards (also known as bank cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.


Credit Card Misuse

The majority of card issuers either cover all the charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or debit cards, or may limit your liability to £50. We will take all reasonable care to keep the details of your order and credit card information secure but unless we have been negligent, we will not be liable for any losses you may suffer as a result of unauthorised access by a third party to the information transmitted by you when ordering products or services from Aberlour Filling Station Ltd.


Shipping – Standard Delivery

On receipt of your order we will find the most economical and reliable carrier for safe delivery of your goods.

Aberlour Filling Station are happy to post your item to anywhere in the UK that has standard postal charges and our standard flat postal rate of £4.95 will be charged for each delivery. Orders £100 and over will be delivered free of charge. Please speak with us directly if your mail does not fall into the standard post office charge catagories so we can try to tailor a service that suits your needs.


Large or Heavy Items Postal Costs

The exceptions to the above charges are for extra heavy or very large items for which we may need to apply an extra charge to cover excessive postal costs. We will contact you on receipt of your order when these charges apply and have been calculated before completing and sending your order to ensure you wish to proceed and the charges will never exceed those of the chosen carrier. We hope to reflect this in our item description in the future but until then please contact us for more information prior to purchase as we wish to remain flexible as to which carrier we use to keep prices and costs to a minimum. We will never dispatch an item without your agreement to additional postal costs when they apply and you will receive a prompt and full refund if you do not wish to proceed with the order.


Postcode Charges

If you routinely incur extra postal charges due to location or postal restrictions we may need to apply relevant charges to meet these exact costs although we will always endeavour to find the most economical rates that ensure safe delivery of goods.

If you are unsure of whether this applies to you please contact us first and we will obtain a price for you by checking with our selected carrier. If we find that your postcode is subject to this we will contact you when these charges have been calculated to ensure you wish to proceed with your order.


Delivery Timings

We aim to deliver in stock items within 14 days of ordering although most orders will arrive within a week and be dispatched within 48 hours. All orders should be delivered within 30 days according to DSR's. For fast delivery see delivery deadlines below.


Delivery Deadlines

If you require items by a specific date please contact us to check that the items are in stock and estimated delivery timings. If you wish for fast delivery please contact us by phone so we can calculate the best method, feasibility and costs for this from our carriers.

If items on your order are out of stock we will notify you and ask how you wish us to proceed but will also attempt to re stock the items so that your complete order can be sent as one. If out of stock items cannot be sent by our supplier to us, we will contact you to see how you wish to proceed.


Returns and Replacements

Please ALWAYS contact us to discuss a possible return BEFORE you send anything to us. We hope you will be happy with your purchase however;

Faulty Goods

Faulty or damaged goods may be returned after confirmation with us, free of charge for a full refund, replacement or exchange. Do not, however, return the item to us unless we ask you to do so as faulty items may be replaced directly by our suppliers saving time and expense. Please contact us by email at janecrowther6@icloud.com before returning faulty or damaged items so that we can let you know how to proceed. It is helpful if you include your telephone number. If you are able to send us photographs of the fault or damage we may be able to issue a refund without asking you to return the item to us although our supplier may wish to receive the item to look into the fault so please ensure its safe keeping in case postage is necessary.


Returns and Refunds

We offer a no quibble refund policy. Return within 14 days of receiving your purchase and we will exchange or refund providing the goods have been unused and without damage and in original as new packaging. Refunds will be usually be processed within 1-2 working days from when goods are received into our shop and normally refunded back by the original purchase method. Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations UK customers have the right to cancel an order placed with us within 14 working days of receipt of the goods. This does NOT include cost of carriage.

To cancel an order under the Regulations you must notify us in writing by first-class post or e-mail, quoting your name, address and contact telephone number. Our Company Details and address for postal notification of cancellation, any written complaints and for returning goods is:

A telephone call to The Wooden Toy Shop at Aberlour Filling Station is very helpful to assist the process. Goods are returned AT YOUR EXPENSE and for refund must be in the same condition that they were supplied to you complete with undamaged packaging in resale condition. You are liable for the goods until they are delivered to us and we are not liable for damage in transit, so we strongly advise you to use an insured and tracked delivery service for this purpose in order to be sure that any goods returned are delivered safely to us. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.


Privacy and Security

When you order goods from us, or otherwise give us personal information, Aberlour Filling Station will not share that information with third parties without your permission, other than for the limited exceptions listed below.

We may contact you regarding your order and with your permission, to alert you to special offers, updated information, other services or events that you may be interested in. 

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including mailing and delivering purchases. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

Our Wooden Toy Shop at Aberlour Filling Station will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: Conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process; Protect and defend the rights or property of Aberlour Filling Station; Act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of other sites.


Safety regulations

Toys comply with EC Toy Safety Regulations and, where appropriate, carry the CE mark. If a product is recalled for any reason we will publish details on our website and notify you if at all possible. Please always ensure supervised play near water to prevent drowning.



All items are subject to availability. Items shown on the website may become out of stock without the website showing this as we sell items directly from our shop as well as on this website. Most items can be ordered even if they are currently out of stock. We will advise you of the the likely timescale to restock and deliver these items to see if you wish to proceed with your order. If your order has a mixture of in and out of stock items we would usually wait for all items to be available before dispatching your order to minimise postal charges. 

If you require items by a specific date this should be discussed directly with Aberlour Filling Station, preferably by telephone, and confirmed by email so that we can arrange for the items to be delivered in a timely manner or if necessary for special delivery to be arranged. This may incur additional postal charges at your expense to cover the exact cost of postage but will always be agreed with you before dispatch.


Liability disclaimer

Our Wooden Toy Shop at Aberlour Filling Station's (AFS) total liability for any claim howsoever shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied by AFS to the customer. AFS shall not be liable for any consequential loss whether this arises from a breach of duty contract or in any other way, save where such liability is imposed upon AFS by statute. AFS cannot accept any liability for a failure to comply with instructions specifically stated on our website or by our company. AFS does not limit in any way our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct. By law, you also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within fourteen working days of the day after the date the item is delivered. Goods are provided to you on approval and legal title to the goods will not pass to you until 14 days after delivery. Your statutory rights are not affected by this statement.

When you place an order to purchase a product from AFS your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us by way of a despatch note included when you receive your order. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed as accepted in such despatch note do not form part of the contract.

AFS endeavours to check the accuracy of the information on this site. However, AFS does not warrant that such information will be error free and the user acknowledges that information, products and services published on this web site may include inaccuracies and typological errors. If the goods do not on receipt by you substantially meet the description on this web site, you are entitled to reject the goods and return them to us. 

All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. Normally, we will debit your card via PayPal prior to dispatch of your order, if the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
